Halk TV examined the effects of the bandwidth throttling imposed on social media platforms from 19 to 21 March 2025, drawing on assessments by İFÖD and EngelliWeb.
The report stated that the intervention, which lasted approximately 42 hours, affected health, education and e-commerce services as well as communications. Yaman Akdeniz described the throttling, implemented by BTK at the Presidency’s request, as arbitrary, unlawful and unconstitutional.
